If you're having problems uploading PDFs for eSign or submitting your compliance package, it may be due to a problematic PDF file. Flattening the file should remove the formatting in the document causing the issue.

Flatten PDF (Windows)

1. Open the original PDF in a Windows application.

2. Choose File > Print.

3. Choose Adobe PDF as the printer in the Print dialog box.

   To customize the Adobe PDF printer setting, click the Properties (or Preferences) button. (In some applications, you may need to click Setup in the Print dialog box to open the list of printers, and then click Properties or Preferences.)

4. Click Print. Type a name for your PDF, and click Save.

Flatten PDF (MacOS Mojave)

1. Open the original PDF in Preview.

2. Choose File > Export as PDF...

3. Choose the location for your new PDF. Type a name for your PDF, and click Save.

4. Type a name for your new PDF, and click Save.

Flatten PDF (MacOS Older)

1. Open the original PDF in Acrobat Reader.

2. Click the PDF button and choose Save As Adobe PDF.

3. Choose the Adobe PDF Settings and click Continue.

4. Type a name for your PDF, and click Save.

Once you have followed these steps go back to Velocity and re-upload your document.
